Due to age and the nature of the vintage handbags, sometimes identifying features have been damaged, removed, or have otherwise become illegible. Examples include: faded serial numbers, missing care tags, and worn or rubbed brand creeds. This does not mean an item is not authentic. However, we often send those items to a third party authentication service -- just to be safe.
